Are fine gael serious with this guy or is it a joke! What a dumb dumb person

    Who and what's your point?

    Neither covered themselves in glory.

The host was petulant and clearly looking for an argument and treated the candidate as if he was a child near the end, explaining to him how 'political interviews' work.

Peter Fitzpatrick is, obviously, a name candidate. But his response to the questioning was not unlike what most other politicans would have done in the circumstances. We can question the standard of the politicans in general, then, but it's way too much to lambast the man for being a 'dumb, dumb person'.

He got defensive and the host really didn't ever approach any issue in a way that might coax him into answering as he was clearly never going to by taking the white knight of justice and integrity route.

The interviewer was an idiot. He insisted that the candidate was doing a flip flop where he first said he wasn't going to stand for election and then he change his mind. In order to "flip-flop" he would have had to do that and then reverse his decision.

Shaw Michael's havin' nunna him theh, hey.

Louth-bashing aside, Michael Reade is pretty bad here. He chaired the Meath West candidates' debate well last week, he was equally hard on all of them. He must be after Vincent Browne's job.

    Ehh..

    v. flip-flopped, flip-flop·ping, flip-flops
v.intr. 1. To move back and forth between two conditions or circumstances, sometimes repeatedly

There was room for criticism, but I don't think that was it.

    Whats my point?

Theres a general election tomorrow. you figure it out smart ass

The point is this... (from the forum charter)

Posting a link to a video hosted elsewhere does not constitute discussion. Not everyone is able to watch videos, for technical or other reasons, and points raised on a video are almost impossible to refute. It's OK to link to a video, but it should be accompanied by a detailed summary of its contents and arguments, and you must be prepared to discuss it.

So rather than report your post I asked you to explain it. I'll just report it instead.
