Summer Work New Zealand or Australia?

    Hi all!
I'm a graduate of Economics with a postgraduate in Accounting. I was thinking of applying for a one year work/travel visa for new zealand starting in july but I'm slightly clueless where to begin. What's summer work in new zealand like and where is best to go? I enjoy hiking and generally being out and about!

Apologies if this was meant for the student travel forum but I thought I might get a better answer here! :)

    cheers!

Don't come to NZ in July!! The whole country goes into hibernation for the 8 weeks of winter...unless you want to work the ski season that is...

Other than that its a dreadful time to come for sightseeing etc. My mates came to visit me in July/August and their mantra for the holiday was 'This would be lovely...in summer'. Also they don't have double glazing or central heating...no laughing matter.

Yep. Wellington in winter is cold, grey, dark and often very windy. But you do get runs of nice days sometimes and you can get lucky. Further north up in Auckland or higher it doesnt get so bad so you could come then but work might be slack as the Summer tourist season here is Nov-April.
