    when i start up my pc it says hard disk not found then says press F1 to continue and when i do it starts as normal. why would it be giving this message ? i can see the HD in the BIOS.

    set boot mode quick load, ie not slow boot,not diagnostic boot, mode, set all hard drives to auto mode in bios menu,advanced.

    To go to the BIOS configuration, in my case, i press f2 or "Delete" button. Once in the BIOS,look for the "HALT ON" Option. Select it and choose the "No Errors" Options.
    save changes and reboot.
