How much time should junior cert students spend stuying after their homework.
Also what about days off( like during their mid term) is 20 mins each day enough?

No, twenty minutes isn't enough. Maybe at the start of the year, and if you pretty much know everything, but, generally, it's not.

Most people say two hours including homework a night. I would chose what topics I'm going to cover, and just complete them, regardless of the time.

If they've done their Pres, they can afford to relax for the whole mid-term, in my opinion. They're going to be experiencing a tough few months until the Junior Cert, so a week off will do no harm.

If you're going to study, you should spend at least 30 minutes on every subject.
If it doesn't feel like you're being productive, then set yourself a task eg the biology section in every science paper, and just work your way through everything.

It depends how much the person listens and pays attention in class, to what level they do their homework, etc.. Everyone is different.

Well according to teachers in my school, they suggest that we do 2 blocks of study 6 nights a week. Maybe take a break for one night. Each block is supposed to me 30-40mins long. Honestly I can't stick to schedule though... I'm more of a study whenever I want type of person.
I mean I don't even do 20mins a day, so I personally think you're doing very well if you're doing that! But I am veeery lazy! :pac:

If you havent done anything all year and you have a week off before the exams you'd want to be doing around 4 or more hours a day

Do u think cramming every nite before each exam will help?

Absolutely. I don't see why not, once you get a good night's sleep too.

I have ot agree with this. The school day presents so many hours to study that few people utilize and they end up using their evenings trying to make up for time lost in school!
