Water in Footwell

    Hey,

I've an 04 Honda Accord and there is a fair bit of water under the carpet in the rear passenger footwell (driver
side). I reckon this explains why i would have ice on the
inside of my windscreen during the cold snap

Any ideas as to the best way to get rid of it. This
happened to me before with a banger of a VW Polo
when i were a young fella and I just took a hammer and
nail to the floor pan to let it drain away.

Any less agricultural suggestions to dry it out and recommended ways to find the source of the leak?

    Cheers

    Fardel

Well throw a few towels down first and soak up what you can.
As long as you're not living in an apartment you could run an extension lead out to the car and leave a dehumidifier running. (works best if theres some heat from the sun to evaporate moisture).
You'll still have to tackle the cause tho, have a google for possible blocked drainage points in an Accord.

Hmmm, nearly all leaks at the rear of a car can be traced to the guide rails and drain channels for a sunroof. As it can't be them I'd have a good close look at the window and door seals, a six year old car should not be suffering from disintergrating rubber though.
