    Hi all,

    Just wondering if you may be able to help me. Looking to get car serviced, its a 06 VW Golf, and the last service was about 20k km ago. I rang my local dealership and they reckon it will be the guts of €350, as i would need the following changed :

    Braking Fluid, Fuel Filter(i think that was it) and i think ill need new brake pads, plus the general service.

    I have no problem paying for the above if they need to be fixed, i want a good service at a good price.

    Any ideas or suggestions? would like to get it servicised tomorrow if possible or early next week.

    Thanks

    €350 for a service including the brake fluid and fuel filter is fairly steep unless the pads are inlcuded, for a main dealer that wouldn't be too bad, a chap that posts on here NissanDoctor works in a place called Atlas, they may be worth considering, I don't know which branch he works in but they seem a very reputable and competitively priced crowd. Needing a service tomorrow may be a bit of an ask though.

    Could offer you then same service for under €250 (will confirm exact figure when you call in). I always use OEM parts (normally from OTTO) so same quality as the main dealer.
    I can fit you in tomorrow but you'll need to confirm by phone or email before 18:00 today.

    Hi Jimbo,

    Where are you based? whats the company name? yes, that sounds good, does that include brake pads if required?

    Thanks,

    Its impossible to give an accurate price on an 06 golf without knowing which engine it has and what the total kms on the car is.

    @op, PM sent.

    Not only that, but the OP is a closed account, so regardless of whether the service was done, they're unlikely to have seen this scintillating update...

    What I don't get is how these threads get surfaced. It would only show up in search results surely?
