I'll be buying a new laptop in the next week or so to replace my old desktop. I have about 80gb of files on the desktop - music, movies etc.

Whats the easiest way to transfer them all onto the new laptop. Can I get a cable to connect the two together or will I have to get an external hard drive?

You just missed this thread on page 2.

I'd get an external. There was a few mentioned on Bargain Alerts lately.
    Harvey Norman, Easons or Amazon.

Cheers. Never checked any other pages. Seen a few options on that thread that I'll try.
