Lack of English Commentary on Al Jazeera

It would seem that Al Jazeera only have English commentary on Champions League games showing on their +3 channel. Repeats of games do have English commentary. Anyone else annoyed by this? I noticed it last week

I noticed that yesterday too. I was looking forward to the Real Madrid and Lyon for a while and when I sat down to watch it. It was not in English. Its strange because during the groupo stage every single match had English commentary but now in the more important stages there is only one match with English commentary. I hope this is only a temporary thing and will not be a long term problem

There is no problem with the English commentary tonight. There is 8 Europa league matches on tonight and they are all in English

Yeah, as Minstrel says, it seems to only apply to the Champions' League coverage.

It used to be fine, whatever happened.

It is odd. If it is a request by UEFA then why would the Europa League be in English.

Same again this week. There was English on +3 on the main games on Wednesday and Tuesday but there was no English commentary on the 2nd choice game on neither night.

Man City was on JSC+3 in English but the picture was poor.
Canal + in Spanish was preferable.

Yeah I thought that too but it doesn't really make much sense because if sky was telling them to stop broadcasting in English. They would not allow jsc to use their commentators for the +3 match like they did on Tuesday night. They would more than likely totally withdraw their English commentary from all matches and leave all the matches in Arabic.

I prefer the option to turn off all commentating and just listen to the crowd - unfortunately that's not always available :(
