    Hi,
I'm a final year photography student and I am doing a project at the moment on wild camping. Basically I want photograph anyone who is camping around Ireland in a tent. I am completing a series of landscape images with a tent pitched within the picture. If you are camping around Ireland and dont mind your tent being photographed on site... i'd really appreciate a responce :)

    Hi Louise,

I was out wild camping last Thursday night in Wicklow. I tend to get out out camping for a night or two every 2/3 weeks all year round.

The only thing is most people who wild camp do exactly that, camp in the middle of nowhere, which usually means a decent walk/hike/climb to their site.

Would you be planning on staying the night and walking back out the following day or walking out once you have taken your photos ? I just ask as if your walking on your own I'd make sure your map reading/Nav skills are pretty good.

    Hi Mitch,
You didn't happen to star in baywatch did u?lol

Thanks for your response.. I don't mind a good walk/hike/climb, i like the
outdoors. I would not be doing it on my own, don't think I would be brave enough to camp out on my own! I have a person that can come along that has top nav skills so im sorted there!

From your experience/camping trips, Do many people be out camping on the wicklow mountains at this time of the year? What date do you think you will go out again? Would it be possible for me to come photograph your campsite if i'm able to travel on the date?

do you camp on your own or with a group?

    Thanks,
    Louise
