Ifraaj's July Cup was one of my most lucrative ante post punts. Also Rakti in the Lockinge. Could always be relied upon to have his horses at perfect pitch on the big day. Always had a sneaky filly in Royal Ascot as well. Very capable trainer. Shame to see him leave the training ranks. Hope Philip Robinson doesnt follow suit as a result.

I hope not Morgans. He doesn't ride many Gr. winners but by in my eyes has been one of the top flat jockeys in the U.K

Getting more old-fashioned looking by the month but one of the very very best judges of pace around. Great partnership with Jarvis.

Listening to Timeform radio earlier, someone said something that he wouldn't be finishing yet, that he got his hip sorted out and plans on going for another season anyway.

Sad news, a wonderful trainer. HOWEVER, I would hope Phillip Roninson would follow suit. A great jockey in his day but IMO does not have the strength he used to.

    Rakti was always massive entertainment.

Either he'd win well, or go mental.

Himself, George Washington and Sea the Stars are theonly flat horses I ever followed with the sort interest I reserve for jump horses.

Nonsense. Robinson had one of the best strike rates of any jockey in Britain last year.

I'm a fan of robinsons as well.
Good judge of pace - unlike ALOT of other jockeys lol

I thought MJ still had a few years left training....
