 i registered a few calves on line on sunday 13 february , i faxed a movement permit on the monday , got the cards on the tuesday .No movement permit but got a letter on wednesday to say one of the calves wasnt registered , had a guy going to buy the calf. I had his card but no permit. Rang sws on wednesday and the guy i was talking to said there was an overlap in the registration / movement permit request and that i would be issued with the permit that day , he said there was no need to send the letter back. Anyways by yesterday still no permit so i rang again , was talking to a very unhelpful lady who said i should have sent the letter back -wtf- 4 times she told me what the problem was , which i already knew:cool: i asked her numerous times what do i need to do to get the permit and she repeatedly said what the problem was. Had to go through the bin to get the letter and post it ... why are some people so unhelpful.

    Are you registered with Agfood.ie?
I got a movement permit for my bull this morning - just logged in, entered the number - once he was on the system they sent a link to the movement permit which can be printed. It comes on 3 sheets, 1 for seller, 1 for buyer and 1 for to return to them with both signatures.

I didn't know that I could do it like that even though I've been using agfood.ie for years. Always just printed off the CMMS form and faxed it to Cork and waited till next day to get the permit in the post.
This way was so much easier, i didn't even have to enter the buyers herd number or name - all can be filled in correctly by the buyer himself.
