Hi, I'm relatively new to road bike cycling, having picked up a mid-range road bike last year. I'm looking to get a new saddle as the one which came with the bike is far from adequate. My budget is 50-60 euros but I may consider spending more if it's worth it. Grateful for any suggestions!

Only your ass can answer that question. Mine enjoys the Selle Italia SLR Kit Carbonio. It's got expensive taste ;)

i use selle italias as well, but unfortunately its your ass that dictates what saddle you buy (infact i have a C2 on one bike and a maxflite on the other)

    +1 on the C2

I had a post here yesterday about my new Selle San Marco SKN, I would recommend one. However I have heard good things about the Charge Spoon, at less than e30 they are hard to ignore. Selle Italias get consistently good reviews, as does the Toupe.

I got a charge spoon. Can't fault it. Very comfy over long distances.

When choosing a saddle check that you get one with correct width. Quite a few quality road saddles are produced with the back end (supporting the pelvis) in different widths. One too narrow for you shall be torture.
