Im no expert in Waterford Crystal but I dont think there is a second hand market in it.
Just because someone paid €3k for an item doesnt make it worth that.
Limited edition crystal is just a marketing ploy to sell the stuff.

You'd be surprised how little its worth .......

You'd be as well to try 'adverts' for some of the lesser objects .

I also wondered about Waterford crystal and why people are mad for it.

Does it appreciate value at all??

Waterford Crystal used to be head and shoulders above the others in terms of quality but its popularity has been on the wane for years as peoples' tastes change. The sheer quantity of it that was produced and its high survival rate (wedding presents, retirement gifts and trophies) means that unless it is an extraordinary, one-off piece it's unlikely to be very valuable. I have a certificate for 5,000 Waterford Glass shares which is now probably more collectable than most of their factory output. :D

Yeah I have some wine glasses which I use all the time. If they break they break. Some people never touch their wc why I don't know.

Hi all, I`m new to this site and wanted to say Hi, (again!).
Anyway, concerning Waterford, I`ve just purchased a `Lismore Essence` Clock by them, which I bought because I like it and not for any sort of `investment`, the only thing is, I can`t fathom a way to gain access to the actual clock, to replace batteries or to correct the time, seems daft when it`s a clock does`nt it !!. I have emailed Waterford about it, but they say it could take 2-3 days for a reply, and I don`t want to be late for work - again !!. So, if anyone out there has any advice I`d appreciate it - Thank You.

    Cresser

Try and see if the face comes off if you pull on the face it should come off. That is if there is nothing in the back, you can change the time and find the battery there in fact everything you need would be found back there. Good Luck.
