Can anyone lay it out straight for me, in lamemans terms as im not the most tech advanced. Its affecting online gaming with my friends and i need to change this asap.

You could try the search function as there is hundreds of these threads.

    Or follow this :

I presumed it was Black Ops you were talking about.

    Best of luck

im still having issues with it. i am with smart broadband. i have a router THOMSON TG585 v7. i have looked through it and i cannot find any mention of a dmz. heres the kicker though, up to a few weeks ago i had an open nat type and for some unknown reason it has now changed to strict. i have not gone near the settings on the ps3. i have followed the post here about putting my ps3 into a dmz but i when i go to the router configure menu to look for dmz there is no mention and i hit a brick wall here. i dont know what else to do. im sure it s a simple fix but i just cannot figure this out.

Could you find the firmware version on the router?
