Since the media cant discuss it from 2pm Thursday, wonder what odds that the election will not be mentioned here. Personally I cant wait till the thing is over now. Dispite that, I find myself watching the Leaders debate.

Why are the media not reporting on the election from Thursday?

There is usually a 24 hour blackout on the news and stuff the day before for some reason.

Pretentious use of this obnoxious word is really starting to grind my gears :(

It is, but they seemed to have changed the start time this year, cant remember if its usally later or earlier.

To what extent the blackout goes to, have no idea.

We should ban politic threads in AH now and close the ones open till after Friday.

    My suggested replacements:

Who would you like to blast with piss?

Thongs, can Irish women wear them properly?

I would have said correct use here
    1,
    a suspension of activity
    2.
a legally authorized period to delay payment of money due or the performance of some other legal obligation, as in an emergency.
    3.
an authorized period of delay or waiting.

In this context yes. Don't get me wrong, I'm generally all for the correct use of words but its recent resurrection by all to announce a sudden pseudo interest in politics is a little nauseating.

I guess it's ironic that a word that essentially bans us from talking about something is being talked about so much.
