For me, Slash, although my experience of photographing Nuno Bettoncourt tops it as he came for drinks with us after and even sang to me it is most definitely Slash.

I think it'd have to be Shane Lynch who was kind enough to lend his time for a college project for me. A nicer man you could not meet !

Simon fowler from Ocean colour scene is the biggest name to date:

PC Photo obviously your most famous person is Nelson Mandela by a country mile.....

He was an inspiration to millions of people around the world, he would be more well known in each and every country and he also will go down in history as the guy who wore the trendiest shirts ever!

This is Dr Philip Nitschke who is probably more famous in Australia. I met him when he visited Dublin last year. He is a campaigner for Voluntary Euthanasia.

As far as most people here would know, mine would be Laurent Garnier. But I've done a whole load more other producers who would be just as well known within techno circles.

Photographed or snapped/gig shot are two different things in my opinion. how many thousands of people snap bands at gigs compared to people who actually have the proper chance to shoot someone thats famous, unless of course they are a dedicated gig photographer.

I did some work for a radio station in the past and was lucky enough to shoot some relatively famous people and missed out, due to work commitments on some really famous people, didn't get some shots of some sh!t hot famous people because they were awkward (The Kings Speech springs to mind....).
All very interesting at the time but became a bit monotonous after a while.

I shot PJ Gallagher, Karl Spain, Pat McDonal, and a bunch of other comics, specifically for our fund raiser, in a private room. The pics turned out crap, they were just for the website, but I still shot them I guess. If you would call them famous, I don't know.

I'd love to meet Brendan Gleeson, my fav Irish actor. John hurt pretty cool too, I met his wife, but sadly not the man himself.

Brendan Gleeson is a very intimidating man by his nature and stature and at the same time very comforting to listen to, very very educated and intelligent and very proud. A great person to meet, listen to and shoot. A real pleasure.

John Hurt, again an incredible man to meet (on a side note my uncle delivered one of his children many years ago). He is a very discreet, discerned character and didn't speak too openly of his realationship with Oliver Reed. It seemed obvious they were great friends but he couldn't be drawn on any details about any outrageous stories regarding their friendship directly.

Both a real pleasure to meet, listen to and have the opportunity to shoot.

I've shot all of U2 individually and as a group. I've edited Kate Bush, Springsteen, Dylan, Elvis Costello and elected not to show the world a shot of Maggie Thatcher inspecting the bogeys in her hanky for a news piece in Dublin Castle in 1990. why ever not? Snotgate.

I've shot a session with Emma Waldron which was fun. but fame, schmame! It doesn't matter a whole lot to me, the best pics I've taken are of un-famous folks.
