Getting car keys cut

    Hi,

    I'm looking to get a car key cut. It's for a 2000 Skoda. Anyone know of anywhere that will do it at a decent price? Few hardware seem equipped. The best I've been quoted so far is €113 which was a bit of a shock because there doesn't seem to be any electronics in the key. It just looks like a simple key.

    Your car doesn't have immoboliser does it?

    (trying to get key for my ford modeo at the min, but think i will have to go to dealer as you need two working keys to program the new key to the immobilser :( )

    A few ppl now have asked me if I have an immobiliser. How would I know if I do? The key I aleady have is really basic and small. No buttons or lights. Just looks like an old fashioned key albeit with a blade like your ebay link

    I'll contact the ebay seller anyhow. thanks

    To be honest I'm quite a novice to cars myself, so don't really know how to find out. Maybe ask in the motoring section. If it is just a key without any imoobilser stuff that seems like a crazy price! Sorry I can't be of any more help!
