Infideals 20% Discount for Boardsie's

Ok, as much as it pains me, I'll tell you guys about a cool little shop of retro stuff I stumbled on. It's called Infideals, & the owner Chris has very kindly agreed to extend a 20% discount to boards.ie members/contributers.

I think some of the prices are already fantatsic, & I've been shopping with them for a while. You guys would swallow anything, me finding GameGears & TV tuners in charity shops :D I was greedily keeping the store a secret while I pillaged all the good stuff :pac:

Anyway have a look at the link & see what you think. The stock does rotate when newer stuff comes in, so it's prob worth checking every few days while your looking on ebay/adverts etc.

Now, the fine print. For the moment, I'll be the only one with the discount code & will be assessing who gets it. This basically means I won't be giving it to anyone with a postcount of less than 100, & you will have to be a contributer to boards. That means absoloutely no spamming to get your post count up. Chris has made it very clear, that if this discount code gets leaked onto the net, it will be revoked. So don't f**k this up for us please, and don't for yourself either.

While I'm not a mod in this forum, bare in mind this was given approval by Mr. E & any messing about will be dealt with. Keep the code to yourself. When I see how things are going, I'll be happy to issue the code to LoGie & CiDeRmAn if they're willing to accept that. But until otherwise stated, pm me for it.

    Let the shopping commence!

Fair play to you man! This is a very good deal. I just got The Adventures of Batman and Robin for the Megadrive (A hard enough game to come across cheap), mint for €17.50 delivered. The discount code knocked almost €4.00 off the final price.

    Use this code with care!!!

long time lurker in this former, first time posting, thats a great site you found there, amazing prices even without the discount. That vetrex does look tempting but delivery is huge on it

With the discount it's still cheaper than most on ebay though, & delivery is not something you want to scrimp on with a Vectrex ;)

Chris actually said though, if he's happy that nobody is screwing around with the code, he'll be happy to leave it run. So far so good anyway, so many things to buy...so little money :(

Theres a dead caps vectrex sitting here for ages- http://cgi.ebay.ie/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=130390616940&Category=87186&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26its%3DI%26otn%3D2

I saw that a while ago, is caps all that's wrong with it? I don't speak any French and I'm pretty sure an online translator didn't help when I last checked it out. Thought the tube in it must be gone or something unfixable.

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 5,393 Mod ✭✭✭✭Optimus Prime

    Is that "fixable" ?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 33,733 ✭✭✭✭Myrddin

    keithgeo wrote: »

I'm sure it is, but €80 delivered here, plus the costs of fixing it, plus the obviously missing joypad = why bother.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 362 ✭✭yrwhu8jxtni06a

Yes to translate properly, just copy and paste the text into google translate,or babelfish if it came out arseways on google.

Usually the dead screen scenario is dead caps, but wouldn't rule out screen dying either since they are nearly 30 years old, anyways that model is missing a pad which an md pad can be adapted with a hack.

    One such cap change- http://girasoli.org/arcade/?p=331

It's been a while since I've seen any new products now, I might ask Chris & see what the story is. Did you get the games safe & sound or are they still en route?

Ok there's a bit of stuff due in, over the next two weeks Chris has told me. A rake of C64's (one boxed), a NES (spares or repair), a C64 mouse (boxed), a rake of C64 games, Megadrive games & Mastersystem games, Amiga magazines, N64 games & loads more.

Worth keeping your eye on the site over the next few weeks. Chris has also said he's very happy with the arrangement re our discount code so far too, so thanks to anyone I gave the code to for keeping it to themselves. May we long benefit from it! :)

There's a selection for Ireland when your setting the delivery section, it comes under the EU though as its international shipping.

Thanks for that link! I'd been trying to remember a game I got on a cover disk years ago, knew it involved shooting zombies but couldn't remember the name. Turns out it was Zombie Apocalypse, Amiga Format #52. Nice one! :)
