Heads up, Panorama right now, Fergal Keane on Ireland and the election. Seemingly Lenihan admits Fianna Fáil got it wrong.

Doesn't show FF in a good light, but how could you after they wrecked the place. Lenihans excuse for cronyism is shameful 'we're a small country and everyone knows each other'

It took the BBC to do a show like this. No sign of RTE doing anything like it.
I think the BBC are also looking for a Fine Gael majority.

The problem is that FF fvcked up so badly that any reporting of the reality of it could be interpreted as bias against FF.

I thought it was on BBC not RTE.

Ouch in 30 minutes of TV the BBC made a far better contribution than the hours from RTE about the boom disaster. It shows our national broadcaster up for the pack of amateurs that they are.

Brian Lenihan did not do himself any favours with that especially with the cronyism comments as pointed out by Laminations already. The man should never hold a position of authority again. If there is any justice he shouldn't be returned to the Dail next Friday.

... apart from the two hour Freefall documentary and countless editions on Primetime, The Frontline, the News etc for the last couple of years.

There's lots of ammo to have a go at RTE for but saying its coverage has been trumped by a pretty straightforward half hour synopsis for a foreign audience of the last decade's shenanigans in this country is nonsense.

FF were in bed with the developers? That's not a new revelation.

(Someone tell Leno that it may be small country, but its a smaller tent)
