Simtech don't have the 737 any more :( I rang a while ago and was told it's long gone. There is a place in Galway with a 737 (and a shoddy website, mind) called Eirsim www.eirsim.com

On a side note, I thought Atlantic Air Venture wasn't a full-motion sim?

I've been there on three occasions, most recently was Saturday gone as there was an open day on. They have moved from their old building into a large new setup. It is brilliant - nothing less.

I've done the 737 sim three times also, did a visual and instrument approach last Saturday just to check that I'm still sparkly. The realism is superb and with Jane and her team you're in great hands.

If you ever have the spare €€, I would highly recommend you go down.

What's Simtech like and how much is it for a session does anyone know? Do you get to choose your aircraft?

Bump. Thinking on going in a couple of weeks.

Simtech uses a 737 fixed base simulator, for their voucher rides. You could ask for a go on the ATR full motion sim. But it would cost more.

I have a voucher as it happens. A freebie, it pays to know the right people!

As I said above, unfortunately they don't have the 737 anymore.

They do have a fixed base Mechtronix machine. It's generic but it's set up somewhat replicate a 737NG. Talking to guys who've seen/used it it's not a patch on a "real" 737 sim though like the one in Atlantic Air Venture.

The Aer Lingus full motion Airbus sim is located at Simtech too. I wouldn't say the public can use that :D
