i'm not looking for medical advise but am looking for experienced comments.

I have been told i have Planters fasciitis and my Physio has said he will have me fixed up in a couple of weeks.

Just wondering have many others experinced this condition and if so how long did it take before you felt comfortable racing. I know different people will have different time lines but just looking for a general timeline

To show how wildly different people are, a friend recently told me he had the same injury and it took a few weeks to shake it off. I've had it as well. Took me 10 months.

Try to find the cause, as well as the cure. Hope you have a speedy recovery.

unfortuantly the cause was my own ignorance regarding correct stretching. I came from a football backgroundand thought the same stretching would work

You'll be back racing when its fixed, and how long that is will be determined by your, your physio, and your plantar muscle. No point comparing to others, as PN says above, different runners will be out for wildly different times.

I found the following stretches very useful to stop it coming back again. Best of luck.

just to echo the above comments , my injury is an S1 joint injury , im still not out of it and its nearly six months now , a fellow runner was right as rein in 3 , the physio thought it would be right by xmas Its best not too even use other peoples recovery times as an example cause you can have an expectation for that time yourself subconsiously and when it goes over that time you get frustrated .
