Eat before or after training.

    Hi,

    I am starting my couch to 5 k challenge tonight.

    My aim is to get fit and not to lose weight.

    Should I eat before or after I train?

    I have started a log also!

    Hi there

    Lots of people will tell you not to eat and lots will tell you to eat. Its very much a personal preference. I know for myself that eating before running would made me feel sick and id really feel discomfort, even if it was only something small like a boiled egg or something I had. Then lots of people wont last a run without some food, so maybe try a day with or without eating and see how that goes for you and which feels better.

    What time will you be training at and at what time will you have last eaten before the workout?
