    Hey All,
Long time lurker here but this is my first post! I was out and about today and popped in to French Connection and ending up leaving with this dress!

I have a family event in NYC in a couple of weeks so needed something appropriate! It doesn't look like much in the picture but it's very flattering on!

However I am now stuck with the navy dress what shoes do I wear conundrum! It'll be cold so I'd prefer to wear tights - I'm thinking very sheer black or grey ones might be best.. what are everyone's thoughts on this??

And shoes... navy, black, nude?? I'm normally a pretty confident shopper but I'm starting to second guess my self! If it wasn't so cold I'd probably go the bare legs and nude shoes route but brrrr - New York in March!!

Thank you all for your help!!

:D:D:D seany what are you even doing in f&a???:D:D:D

op, you can get navy opaques or even grey as seany suggests, ive also seen navy courts inn new look, i would put grey shoe boots with it, or if you want a bit of pop you could do cerise pink or purple shoes and accessories.

Gorgeous dress. Very elegant and versatile, you can really alternate the look of this dress with different accessories. As the above poster said, grey shoes boots, or dark purple shoes/tights would look good.

Knee length boots would also suit this dress with a choker style necklace and hair up.

The dress looks grey in the photo or is it just me??
I like the idea of coloured tights and a grey/navy shoeboot.

I'd also fancy these irregular choice ankle boots with it

I think grey/charcoal tights would be lovely with it. Shoe boots would be perfect. I would stray away from a necklace and go for nice earrings and ring. The neck of the dress is gorgeous but a statement, so it should be left alone IMO.

Mustard and magenta are also lovely with navy if you wanted to add some brighter accents in the shoes and jewelry.
