Does anyone know off hand the price of laptops in China? I may be over there next month and was just curious if I could bring back some i7 beast for next to nothing.:)

You'd be very surprised. I'm not sure about Republic of China but in Hong Kong, Dell laptops are more expensive than in Ireland. Apple laptops are cheaper though. MacBook is around €710 there where-as it's €999 here.

id be thinking about knock-offs, if i was shopping out there. Just got done reading about a guy who makes Ferarris in bangkok. Fakes, but you'd never be able to tell until you drove it yourself. Though people know what they're buying when they order a Fauxrari, you should be buyer beware.

not sure about China - may not necessarily cheaper. the US is certainly cheaper for laptops though.
