    I'm looking for long branches of willow to make a sphere or a few spheres , for an art project of mine .
    where would one get very long say 10 ft or longer strands of willow or some other type of wood , wicker etc
    any input would be appreciated

    10ft is very long, they wouldn't be very bendy at the bottom end if they were that long. You could wire two shorter ones together, maybe. Have you looked in garden centres, they sometimes have bundles of willow.

    Otherwise Specialist Crafts, www.specialistcrafts.ie sell willow withies.

    I knew basket makers who were growing willows themselves (special kind, not regular) and evan for huge baskets they wouldnt use longer than 5 ft branches - as longer they get, as fragile.
    If you arent planning to bend too much, hazel (wild) would be good bet - they do bend, but with 10 ft long you wouldnt be able to make small circle, so everything depends on your project.
