Imagine if you please , an experienced player using a minigun shooting obviously at legal limit, using the minigun for supression fire not CQB room clearance...

    Please answer like below:

    Would you game: yes

What would stop you from gaming againest a minigun:
Nothing except jealousy and possibly over kill!

Any other comments (relevant to gaming againest minigun): as long as im on the team with it......

i can get any aeg to fire as fast as the mini guns on the market, the real world performance increase is not the same in airsoft, so tbh no real advantage over any other support weapon

if you have enough cash to buy one and want to carry it around with the power supply then i would have no problem with that as tbh your putting yourself at a disadvantage

    Would you game: yes

What would stop you from gaming against a minigun:
    nope, just a complicated aeg

    Would you game: Yes

What would stop you from gaming againest a minigun: Someone with more money than sense operating it.

Any other comments (relevant to gaming againest minigun): I cannot wait to knife kill the owner of a five grand minigun to, once and for all, prove it's not the gun you carry, it's how you play.

    Would you game: Yes

What would stop you from gaming against a minigun: A team of miniguns

Any other comments (relevant to gaming against minigun): Needs a helicopter to attach it to

    Would you game: Yes

What would stop you from gaming againest a minigun: Someone being a bit too gungho and spraying areas with it. I don't think its a practical thing to bring to a skirmish in Ireland though, my team has an m60 and if I put a box mag on an m4 its a match for it, rof is fine but not enough to make you carry a weapon that weighs 5 times what a rifle does

Any other comments (relevant to gaming againest minigun): I think you'd get pretty fed up walking it back to a spawn point over a day.

You just reminded me of this thread:

Scroll down to the pic of the 'more money than sense' airsofter and look at what he is holding :D

Screw the more money than sense picture - I want to know where the photo of 'the female airsofter' was taken.
After all, the judge accepted my view that it wasn't stalking ... just selective walking.

I've seen one of these things up close and personal [edit: that'd be a minigun I'm referring to, not a female airsofter]; a lad who plays at the Fort in Scotland owns one and brought it to the first Tour of Duty game in 2009.

    Meh.

Other than the "wow" factor, it's just not worth the money and you are putting yourself at a severe disadvantage; unless you are Jesse Ventura in which case, I'll take a hit just out of respect. Extra respect if you manage to work "I ain't got time to bleed" into a game.

So, would I play against one? Sure. I'll make the extra effort to knife-kill the wielder though.

Sad?! No - this is progress! Now Puding, all we need to figure out is what part of that vast country she comes from, and with my new visa (by complete chance I've just received my Russian visa) I can put the plan into action.
    Aww yea.
    Here comes the restraining order.

    REALLY??? :D

on topic, yes i would play against one, if i won the euro millions i would buy one for the "OH FOOK" factor.

You pretty much need to be standing or maybe kneeling to use it, so you're screwed by being a large-profile target constantly. Being able to fire from a prone position is a big advantage.

    Would you game: Of course

What would stop you from gaming againest a minigun: A couple of things.... In no particular order..
    1) A serious injury. That would stop me gaming against anything (temporarily) though.
    2) The minigun being mounted on a motorized vehicle.
    3) The minigun wielder acting the utter donkey hat and not taking their hits or knife kills (Of which I suspect there would be an inordinate number if I know airsofters ;) ). I suppose that in most cases, the poor minigun totin' player would be taken out of the game for this type of infraction.
    4) The minigun wielder leaving the game in a strop having been targeted by the entire opposition (and probably a fair few of their own team mates).

Any other comments (relevant to gaming againest minigun): I love the look of the minigun, it is far too impractical for playing airsoft though. I'd be happier using my Beretta 92F or Walther PPK in almost any scenario.

Anyone with a minigun would be a walking target.... I'd always rather they be on the other team so we don't have the burden of a slow moving spray and pray player on ours.

How heavy is a toy minigun?
I worked for a couple of years in Iraq and central africa, and Ive seen a handful of "miniguns", but I´ve never seen one that was handheld, only ever seen them mounted on aircraft. Unless your name is John Rambo you have no business holding a minigun. Most people couldnt even carry the quantities of ammo required to operate that weapon for 20 seconds.
So people carrying miniguns on your airsoft games are dreaming. You might as well bring along an airsoft lightsaber.

from a "mil sim" point of view I mean, I know the games are usualy taken as a bit of craic, not a serious "mission".

    Me being War Machine on this . . . . . . . God I wouldnt mind one mounted on my back . . . . . couple of FN2000s strapped to my wrist . . . . . . . :D

On topic, Yes I would game against one. I do feel sorry for the guy wielding it, because I would stop at nothing to hit him.

your weak little un armoured knees would buckle, and you cant find any palladium ;)

lets be honest besides the nerdy guy. the person with the minigun is the first to die in a move, it would be the same in a airsoft game. too impratical but so so cool

Yeah Palladium is all out! :(
