:)i have a 00 ford fiesta failed NCT last week due to rear wishbone bush worn and need to be replaced, the care is in good nick and only 70,000 miles on it, anybody have an idea of cost to get wishbone bush replaced and any good garages on northside of dublin that will do it at reasonable price, any comments much appreciated.

Rear wishbone, isn't it a trailing arm? do they mean front wish bone. No ideas of cost, maybe ring around? I'd call main dealers and independant garages.

Getting bushes changed is 30mins work and they are quite cheap.
Shouldn't cost anything more than €100 for the work and parts for a Fiesta I would have thought.

If you have the special tools maybe 45 minutes to an hour, without them a lot more time.

Rear axle bushes are a bad b**tard of a job to do on a fiesta.
Bushes cost a few pounds - the labour will be considerably more.
The last bushes I did on a 99 fiesta needed a hydraulic press to push out.

The special tool is dead handy, nothing needs to be removed only 2 bolts on either side.

OP I'd nearly say it will be cheaper to bring it to a main dealer on this job if they have the tools to do the job.
