Im 21 years old and would like to be a primary school teacher. I did ordinary level irish the leaving cert and dont have the right amount of points to do primary teaching in college. Is there anywhere i could go to study primary teaching? i have no idea where to start or what to look for! Thank You!

Best bet would be to go back and do the leaving again. Do you have a degree in something else?

You could go down the mature student route, but it's very competitive, and you'd still need honours Irish. I think it would be easier to study like mad for one year and get the points, rather than do honours Irish, and taking the chance with the interview.

Honours Irish is a must, were you far off the points as perhaps you could repeat next year and get them?
