    Hi All,
Apologies if this is the wrong forum and feel free to move if it is.

There are three of us booked to fly from Dub to Copenhagen on Monday evening, we had to book the evening flight as one of our group could not get away for the morning flight. This person had now withdrawn altogether.

My question is, do you think they would let us fly on the earlier flight if there was availablity, when we booked the flights they were €55 now they are over €400.

Does anyone think it may be worth going to the airport seven hours earlier and asking?
Has anyone tried anything similer with another airline?

    Thanks for any input.

i guess you would have to stay as standby passengers. If it comes down to them flying with empty seats, they would allow you go earlier

    Hi there,

I fly between Stockholm/Oslo and Denmark quite a lot from Dublin. I have always found SAS to be very accomodating if you arrive early. The flights are usually busy---ish but never full.

I fly Economy Extra and they always let me change my flights if I arrive early if flying around the Nordic countries.

I think you should have a good chance.

I do the same thing fairly often with both BMI and EI so they might do.

    Hi All,
Just back home again, thanks for all the replies we ended up not going down early but I did ask the girl at the check in desk and they said they would have done but the flight was full in the morning.
I have to say it was a real pleasure flying SAS I would jump at the chance to use them again.

    Thanks again,
