    can I use my external drive on the ps3. i'v songs in it that i want too put on the ps3.

    You can, but your harddrive needs to be formated to FAT32 first.

    Formatting will cause all your files to be deleted so back it up if you're going to format.

    Been a while since I've looked, but I have some cash to buy a hard drive to swap out the rather small 40gig one in my PS3. Should I go with a Samsung spinpoint ?

    Just make sure you get a 2.5" Spinpoint if you do go for one...

    I'd go for something like this myself, but they're much of a muchness really...

    I'm going to plum for this one. An extra £4 for 140gigs more, can't complain.
