DIY itouch screen replacement?

My girlfriends 4th Gen itouch screen is cracked. She got a few quotes (€50-90), but I fancy having a go at fixing it myself. I can see on Ebay you can get the parts and tools fairly cheap.

Anyone ever try it themselves? Is it easy/hard? I wouldn't mind the challenge, if any!

    Any info appreciated!

Ah sure I'll pay for it to be fixed if I don't do it properly, I think my girlfriend will be nice to me either way!
