My 02 Mondeo LX 1.8 was running fine on monday, come tuesday, it won't start. Get various clicking noises, but no engine turnover when turning the key.

Took the battery out and left it on charge for nearly 2 days, popped it in, started the car, went to the shops and it wouldn't start again :( Had to push start it.

So i'm thinking the battery has hit the end of it's life.
    The battery specs were 390A, 12V, 65RC, 43AH

Was in with Cherry orchard tyres in ballyfermot and the guy was saying that the car needs a bigger battery, cause it's a 1.8, which seems odd to me. I'm worried that a bigger ampere would blow all the circuits in the car, am i wrong?

    He was showing me a 460A 12V 56AH battery.
