Redoing lawn after some building work

Got a small wall built in back garden as you can imagine after having a digger on lawn it is now a mess.

Was going to rotavate the lawn and reseed it for the summer just wondering, the clay is very heavy looking and there is water lying in the tracks the digger made would it help the drainage if I got some pin head sand and mixed it with the clay when I rotavate it.

    Thanks for any advise

Was there grass there before the digger messed it up? Was it ok? If it was ok before then don't mess with the soil composition, it is essentially ok but compacted. Let it dry out (maybe fork it and loosen it to help it drain) and then work it/reseed.
