Gas Central Heating Contractors (Dublin)- Looking for recommendations?

I am looking for recommendations for a good gas installer in Dublin.

We are pricing-up the installation of a new natural gas central heating system in a small 2-bedroom end of terrace victorian "Artisan" house. i.e. small, houses similar to those on Coronation Street (TV).

The house has never had any type of central heating installed and is pretty much in its original layout and has relied on open fires and electrical heating for the last hundred years!

The house only has a mains water connection and does not have any attic tank. Hot water is provided by point-of-use (under the sink) water heaters and an electric shower.

We are not sure if there's any point in installing a combi-boiler as we want to keep the costs down. However, if it's relatively easy to do it might be worth it. The bathroom and kitchen are in a small extension on the back of the house (i.e. all the hot taps are within a few meters of each other).

If you've any suggestions for a contractor, please feel free to post or send me a direct message.

Our main aim is to get the job done with minimum disruption.

So, if you have had a good experience with someone who can do an installation quickly and without too much disruption, I would love to hear about it!

    Also any suggestions :

E.g. would microbore system be possible or any advantage?

Mains water pressure is the deciding factor for a combi(that and if you want one), if you have good mains pressure then you could get a high output rated boiler to give you good hot water performance and lower the heating output to match your heating requirement be it big rads for lower flow temperatures, small rads or underfloor.
I would consider keeping the electric shower as a secondary source of hot water as a back up, a outdoor temperature sensor to help reduce fuel usage on milder days and roomstat(s), the more control the less your bills will be.

although it is easy to fit, sludge and component failure has caused problems for the installations i have worked on, Gary.
