    Hi there

My boyfriend is treating me to a pair of Christian Louboutins after a difficult year for me - as these are so expensive i would like to hear thoughts on whether the black or nude would be the better investment...anyone have either??? thinking that i would have to be bear legged with the nude which is putting me off a bit but then they are so classy.....

    Thanks
    :)

    You're a lucky lady! :)

Personally I'd go for the classic black ones, just because black goes with almost everything. It's always nice to have something classic with an outfit...you can't go wrong with red soles.... :)

I used to have a pair of the black ones but I ended uo selling then as they were a size too big (my sister messed up my size :( ) they were alright with and insole but annoying all the same. I was thinking of saving for another pair. I'd definitely buy the black ones.

I'd go black - I have a sale purchase purple pair I never wear, though part of that is that they are genuinely uncomfortable due to very short 'toe box' - and get the nude LK Bennett later in the spring, they're very "inspired by" http://www.lkbennett.com/shoes/courts/Shilo_shoe_taupepatent

    Oh wow, you lucky thing!
I'd go for black - goes with everything, and it'll never be out of fashion.
Plus, if you end up not liking them, don't worry,I'll take them!

I have a black pair and I love them! Have them a few years. I'd say you would get more wear from the black and they would be easier to keep clean. You can always get the others ones next time:D.

(After a few wears the red paint on the part of the sole that is on the ground does start to wear away...just to let you know!)

I'd go with the nude ones. Nude goes with everything too and has a much fresher look than black. I have a nude pair similar to the CL style and i love them.

Black or nude would both work with everything it's a matter of personal preference. I think the nude would look stunning.

Aw good for you!! I'd say black because you'd get more use out of them, how much would a pair be out of interest?

    They cost around €525.

Go try the black and the nude as they have different styles in different shades of "nude", so the style you want - the nude for that style might not be best suited to your skin tone. Personally I would suggest the black.

What is different about Christian Louboutins from other shoes?

Are they more comfortable or what is it?
€525 is a mad price for shoes-are they exceptionally well made or is it just a fashionable designer label?

Probably a bit of both. But extremely uncomfortable according to my friend. She can't wear them anymore as the size she bought [her usual size] is too big in that particular style.

    I'd suggest black.

Don't see the fascination myself in paying 1/2 a grand for a pair of shoes. But that's just me.

    I've LOVE these

    Probably my favourite LB's.
I chose black because you can go bare legged and wear tights with them and generally an all round basic!

    I also agree with Lainey

These LKB's are amazing! They are incredibly well made too. I really love them. If I came into some mula, these two pairs of shoes would be the ones I'd buy!

Lucky lucky girl (I know, you've had a difficult year thought, so you deserve them!)

That is the sweetest thing. :o
Hmm maybe black because you can't go wrong with black classy heels, a nude might look a bit dated.

I had the same dilema! I already have the LKB's in black so I choose this seasons new simple pump in nude - they are so GORGEOUS. Nude is a classic colour and will go with everything. However, when I got home I discovered a nick at the rear of the shoe where it meets the heel so check the stitching before you buy. Not happy...so another trip back to Dublin next weekend

So tell all - what did you go for? Black I'm guessing!
