    Hello all,

I am looking for your help. Feeling guilty coz I'm not a regular poster but hey.... If someone can help I'd appreciate it.

I crashed my car Christmas week. It is a 2003 Peugeot 206.
After a VERY long debate with my insurance company I have been told I will only get 50% of the cost of repairing my car.

I was quoted 3062.03 euro to fix everything. (I imagine this is all new shiny parts etc)
I would have been lucky to get that amout for it if I was to sell it before I crashed.

Anyways, I am looking for a panel beater or someone who can give me an estimate on fixing it AS CHEAPLY AS POSSIBLE.

Here is what I have been told needs done:

    REPLACE: F/BUMPER, F/BUMPER INSERT, F/BUMPER GRILLE,F/BUMPER MOULDING, F/BUMPER SPOILER, F/BUMPER RETAINER PANEL, GRILLE/HEADLAMP MASK PANEL,HAEDLAMP ASSY. FOG LAMP ASSY FRONT LEFT, F/WING(L), F/WING SPLASHGUARD FRONT(L), F/WING SPLASHGUARD REAR(L), F/WING BADGE,HEADLAMP PANEL.
    REPAIR: BONNET.

I have pictures too if anyone is really interested.

The car is currently in a garage in South County Dublin.
I need it fixed asap and am willing to give the job to someone today, tomorrow, whenever.

    Thanks!

find a car breaking in the right colour, get the bumper headlight and bonnet and you're away

I recommend finding second hand parts and getting them fitted - it'll save the cost of painting and painting-related labour. I was quoted 270 for a panel beating of my front wing and a respray but I picked up a perfect second hand one for €60 euro and got it fitted for €100.

It seems to me like you need a new front left wing and pretty much every panel/moulding on the front - bonnet, grill w/ badge, bumper [that's one piece and covers everything from under the Peugeot badge to the ground on the front], new fog light and new headlight. You may be able to get away with a panel beating or some other type of repair on some parts - it's entirely possible the company knew you were going through insurance and made it as expensive as it can be.

Be sure when picking up the headlight/foglight that you get one from 2002 or on, the wiring in 206s changed to multiplexed wiring around 00/01 and it's not compatible with say a 00 or 99 peugeot.

If your car is driveable, take it to CarCraft in Fairview (who fixed my wing for a very reasonable price a few months ago after somebody hit me) and get a quotation. It might even be possible to email them some photos.

You might throw up some photos here because there's a few bodyworkers around on boards if I recall correctly :)

Thank you so much for your replys. I need to get it towed from where it is at now.
    What a nightmare!
