I'm looking for children for a Communion themed photoshoot for a local, student run newspaper.

Obviously my first thought was to contact local schools to see if they could put me in touch with parents of 2nd/3rd class children but I'm worried that schools might not approve of being asked to do things like that.

So, I thought I'd ask teachers what their reaction would be to that request! Any advice?

The best that you could hope for is that you might get the name of the head of a Parents' Association, no school should get involved with giving out parents' contact details.

Agree with above, also you need to be clear what you want the photograph for. Some parents who might be happy to have a photo in the local newspaper might have a different opinion depending on what you propose to do with it. I would be a bit wary of a request from someone with 'student' in their post and 'art' in their username ;)
