Hey, I'm designing a poster for my college event on photoshop and I'm having a little difficulty formatting it.

I need the size to be 423x597mm and trim size 420x594mm.
I also need to have everything 5.5mm away from all edges.
And colour needs to be in CMYK.

Basically these are most likely the people we're gonna get the poster printed from: http://62.128.151.219/A1ejmo/filesupplyguide/resources/index.htm?referrerUrl=http://ie.printing.com/prices/ordering

I'm having trouble when setting the paper size to get the resolution right.
I'm used to working at 72dpi but that screws up the print size and sets it to 422.98x595.84mm instead.

    So:
    - Can anyone help me out as to what resolution would be best to get the right size of the paper?
    - Also what colour profile do I need to use in Photoshop??
    - And how can I make sure I have everything 5.5mm away from the edges?

Making the poster shouldn't take me more than an hour... Its just getting all the formatting right which is troublesome!!

Thanks a lot for any help!! :)

When you go to create the document, just specify the size and resolution to the optimal for your output. Then drop all your elements into place and lay them out.

3mm bleed on all 4 sides.

Thanks for that, I am going to print a bit on Rua Red Gallery in Tallaght soon, but 360 dpi, of course ;)

Very high dpi for a poster... Is it a 'Where's Wally'? :D
