Landfill sites----question about Balliansloe Landfill site

    This is a frightening statistic. Has anybody any idea how full the landfill site in Ballinasloe is?

    I presume it serves most of the county and perhaps other counties? If this is the case and the UDC is running the site?

    Would be interested to know especially with the canvassing going on at the moment, maybe it is time to raise this issue especially for those who live in this area!!!

    Ballinasloe landfill has been closed for about 5 years. It's licence ran out.
    All the wasteit used to take now goes to the privately owned Greenstar facility in Kilconnell.
