Animal cruelty

    Hoping someone can help me find some relevant legislation. The search function on Irish Statute Book appears to be broken. I'm looking for legisaltion in relation to the control and treatment of animals. All I can locate is the Control of Dogs Act and Dog Breeding Establishments Act. Doesn't seem to be any animal cruelty legislation or anything on dangerous dogs.

    I was looking for cruelty offences as well as powers to inspect non agricultural animals. I'll have a look at the stuff you posted.

    The 1911 Act is very difficult to enforce because of words like "unnecessary" which are subject to individual interpretation.

    Can you be more specific ?. Control & treatment are not terms that one would link together.
