I nipped into Argos in Jevis Street at lunchtime to get this game, it was €49.99 on the system but when I asked about the offer I was told that it had already ended which is unfortunate.

I grabbed the leaflet anyway and when I went back to work I read on the cover that all offers must end on the 22nd which is today so surely it still should have been €23.99 until closing time today?!?!?!

Write a report on that to the HQ, outline there that their terms and conditions are vague, they should include a time, even a minute.

If the offer sheet was still on the shop floor, you should have got it at the offer price as it is up until close of business today which would have been 18:30.

I went back after work and got it. I had to go to the customer service desk though because the girl at the till (not the same one) told me that the price was back upto €49.99 because the offer ends today. The manager was cool about it though, he simply over-rided the price on the system and I paid €23.99 for it. Glad I went back now.

Btw is there any reason why this game has dropped so drastically in price only a few weeks after it was launched? I saw it in HMV for €29.99 and in Gamestop in for €34.99, both reduced from €49.99

Was wondering that myself, what's with these new games getting a price crash so quickly after release? Fallout: New Vegas comes to mind, but maybe that was due to the initial glitchiness.

At a guess I'd say that the publisher or supplier wanted to lower the price to shift as many copies as possible. A lot of big titles have come out/ are coming out since Dead Space 2 was released (Marvel Vs Capcom 3, Killzone 3, Bulletstorm).

People only have so much money so they wanted a piece of it before the competition got in there.

Again that's just my guess, I'm still happy to have gotten it at a such a reduced price
