Hi All. Just wondering if anyone has attended a wedding in Glenlo Abbey Galway. Just looking at potential venues and would like some feedback/ advice?

Its a nice spot but I'd imagine its quite expensive, it would be a really good place for wedding photos as the lake is in the background. It was years ago that I was there so I can't remember too many details but I don't recall any problems. The wedding area is at the far end of the hotel so its great for privacy.

Have not attended a wedding there but was at a banqueting event which I presume would be similar. We were in the River Room not the function room- I think this room can be used if you were having a wedding of up to 80 guests. The food was very good but the bar did finish early enough. I think weddings do too so you may want to check that.

This place was at the top of my list & I got a brochure from them. The grounds are amazing which is a big plus for the photos.
