What make of Fertilizer do you find best?????

    Hello to all,

    Just wondering what make of fertilizer do you find the best, and what prices are ye getting per tonne of 18-6-12 round the country.

    410 euro 18-6-12 in local co-op, thats in 50kg bags 10 euro less per ton in 500kg bags

    If you mean make of fertilizer, like the lads said Gouldings or IFI no diff. I could be mad but i got Target two years and definitely didnt get as good a response from it. This isnt just cause it was a bad year, i am basing it on the response from bag fertilizer v slurry.

    EUR380 for urea at the minute in midlands. much better value than CAN

    if you mean, what NPK ratio is the best, there is no general answer to that. Soil tests are a great job (only 12.50 a sample with FBA labs) and will tell you exactly how much P, K and lime you need. Means you arent spreading any fertilizer that will not be of benefit. with the price of it now, i think soil sampling is a must.
