    Hi

Im looking a for a basic laptop from either online or from a bricks and mortor shop based in dublin.

What im looking for is something to browse the web with, watch dvd's on and to use microsoft office. Ideally a i3 processor or even a low end i5 processor. 3 GB ram. Graphics card doesent need to be that powerful-i wont be using photoshop or high end gaming. Minimum of 250 GB drive. Built in wireless card that supports both G and N channels. On top of this a battery life of at least 6 hours or more would be great.

Anyone know what im looking for?

Sorry for the repost but I was told to move this thread to this forum.

Well for €600 you could buy a pretty decent gaming laptop!

I bought my machine a year ago for around 400 in Pc World.
    Packard Bell Easynote tj68

    320gig hdd
    4gig ram
    pentium dual core
    widescreen etc.

Seen the newer model of mine in there recently with an i3 processor I think, for cheaper than mine!

So, go have a look I reckon. But €600 is far too much to pay for a laptop, unless you're looking for a Sony or HP brand machine.

If you have up to 800 to spend I recommend waiting another couple of months.

The new intel processors are about to be released here so whatever you buy now will be replaced by a better model very shortly. Also when they are released prices on the current models should drop accordingly.....
