Hi all, just seen on our local newspaper that John O' Loughlin has agreed to transfer to ST. Brigids in Dublin in return for a job on the coaching staff ,is this not an amatuer organisation who condone payments to managers etc etc ,giving its permission to a player to be paid to play.Secondly is it possible to play for two teams in the same county championship as he is allready with UCD in both codes ,opinions greatly appreciated as allways thanks .

In relation to your second question, no, he will not be able to play for both Brigids and UCD in the Dublin club championship. Almost always Dublin based palyers choose to play with their club rather than UCD in such circumstances.

Hes not getting paid for playing for St Brigids, he is getting paid for the job. It may be slightly corrupt that he gets the job but GAA takes up so much time everybody in the community looks after one another

Fully understand that he is getting paid for the coaching but :confused:are there no Dublin players available for this job or was it even advertised ,and there are 1000s of people who do this week in week out for no financial gain ,to me it seems its double standards and also a little unfair to players from St Brigids that maybe one of them wasnt offered the job .
