Just wondering if anyone can give me some info please, I changed my health inusurance half way through last year. I am on regular meds that cost 120 per month, so I was going to claim tax back on the med 1 form but you have to say if you claiming for insurance company, as I changed half way through the year, should I just claim on the med 1 form and not claim from insurance company, Thanks

Revenue will always insist that you finalise any claims with an insurer before making a Med 1 claim. Just because you changed insurer doesn't preclude you from claiming from one or other of them according to the dates you incurred the expense.

So do that, and then if there is a balance that hasn't been repaid, go ahead and file a Med 1.
