Hey guys, just looking for quick advice.
My 02 ford mondeo ain't starting, no ignition sounds, battery is fine, when i turn the key i hear rapid clicks, like sparks crackling. It's due a service and the clock is on 103,000km's or miles.
I'm guessing it's the starter motor, but not really in the know of the mechanics of a car :(

those clicks are normal, they happen every time, you just don't normally hear them with the sound of the engine.

Make sure the connections to the battery poles are tight.

If the battery wasn't flat the starter would turn so the click wouldn't happen, it's not a case of it not being heard.

The clicks are the sound of the starter solenoid engaging, then disengaging as the starter motor draws all available current, then re-engaging and so on, over and over. Basically, your battery doesn't have enough charge to start the car.

Exactly as has been said, the battery doesn't have the power to turn the starter.

I'd say he's getting mixed up with the relays.
