Have a 2008 1.6 Zetec Mondeo and over last week or so have been getting this clicking noise at release point of clutching?

Have got down and had a look at pedal and all seems fine but just as you lift foot off it clicks?

    Anyone had this

Is the sound down at your foot? Sounds more like a spring?

Lads is it a clicking sound or a sound like a spring?

Dunno the mechanism but it could be the first signs of a plastic 'ratchet' thingy starting to wear.

Check the panel above the clutch pedal under dash, if memory serves me there's a small piece of plastic at the bottom of it which catches the pedal slightly and causes clicking noise.

I had this resolved by our local Ford dealer on an SMax.

Yes the sound is down at my foot and defo a click, looks to me to be coming from the black plastic mechanism where the cable comes out of.

Don't think its catching on anything and like I said only happens at very last moment foot comes off the pedal.
