badly let down by Hunter last week,i'm only backing 1 golfer in the u.s this week and that's Phil Michelson,8/1,that's not great but i'm pretty sure i'll get a good run for my money

also in the Avantha Masters which i didn't think deserved it's own thread i'm on Stephen O Hara @80/1,if he had holed a few putts here last year when i was on him he would have won,his putting has improved a bit this year so i fancy a decent run.

All these worth consideration in the top 10 finish market.

Prugh 14/1 - good finish last year
    Rollins
22/1 - plays well in this event
    Goydos
40/1 - top 10 last year, plays tight courses well
    Sutherland
11/1 - this is a decent event for him

Ricky Barnes 14/1 & Brian Davis 18/1 are worth noting too

Yeah O' Hara is on the shortlist for the Avantha Masters at big odds as is Anirban Lahiri who won in style in India last week. Worth small bets on the exchanges pre tournament.

Premium on accuracy this week at the Avantha, especially with approach shots due to the slopey greens, making pin positions potentially difficult. Gareth Maybin ticks all the boxes.

    Full picks for anyone interested

Angel Cabrera is a recent feature on the Leaderboard here. In the expected wet conditions, this could be ideal for him. 200/1 (B365) will look a ridiculous price if the real Cabrera turns up.

How will the wet conditions on the opening two days be ideal for Cabrera? course plays longer?

Oh how it is so hard to pick a winner in the golf these days!
Im going to sit back again this week and wait to see what the form is in both tourns before i give my money to the bookies.

if you want a run for your money, back Kucher and Donald and sit back and enjoy, then again if it's goin to be rainy that wouldn't help either of them but sometimes it' best not to start second guessing

    Hi Guys,

I have Kevin Na at 190/1 on betfair at €2 win. He's currently second. Any ideas on how to hedge effectively?

    Thanks.

sorry i only say this now, what did ya do?i'm sure you know Na is known as a bit of a chocker so i hope ya had a saver on,only problem is the others were a bit short with???????? about all of of them imo.

when you're hedgein like that you need to take into account what you're initial stake in the event was and what does €200 notes mean to you,if it was me at the time and with not much value imo with the rest i would at the time have let it ride

he has settled down now - hold off for the moment, couples good run will ease off and baddely looks a bit off - i think he will go back to 1 behind or level with couples after about 13-14 holes, then lay at about 3/1

    btw

    VJ all the way !!

The sharks on betfair do be ahead of PP most of the time.
Does the pga tour radio be close to live does anyone know?

I was in powers today and they had a special for 5/1 Rory McIlroy
and Im nearly sure it was for him to win the matchplay this week but then checked the site and hes 18/1 to win it.
Did anyone else see the special?

It was probably to win the Gary Player bracket.
