Samsung subwoofer surround sound

Hi, I have a Samsung ps wz310 subwoofer surround sound system that I have connected to my PC through the speaker input at the rear of the pc. I can get sound if I use the AUX 2 channel, but I can only get 3 speakers to work. 3 of the sockets at the back of the unit dont seem to be working. I have tried different combinations but I still can only get signal from 3 of the inputs. I wonder is this a setting on the actual system, or would there be a way I could restore factory defaults to reactivate the 3 inputs, or could they be simply broken?
    many thanks

check control panel on your computer for settings. most have separate options for 2/3 5.1/7.1 sound output, which you must select, however you also may have autodetect options - again check all sound options in control panel
